TurfHound Installation: 16-Station Tee Line (TL103), 3 Pro Teaching/Fitting Stations in training center
The Challenge

Wilmington Country Club wanted to provide members with a high performance surface for those days when turf conditions prevent hitting off grass and for regularly scheduled “mat days.” Aesthetics and durability were important because members walk over it to get to the grass. It had to withstand heavy foot traffic and the impact of hitting balls from it.

The Solution
“Our decision to install TurfHound was based on performance and appearance,” said Joe Guillebeau, Golf Professional. “We were in the process of resurfacing the entire range so we were able to set the tee line in at just the right height. For us it’s better to have it all in one piece because it looks terrific and it makes mowing easier.”
The Results
“Now when we can’t provide a good natural turf we still can provide a high performance surface. We have 2000 members and they can take a lot of turf up in a day. They’re never going to come out here to find a day when there isn’t a good surface to practice on.”
“We wanted the best thing that we could get and we’re very pleased.”
